Formatting is a requirement. Your document must be formatted to look and feel professional.
Use headers, text sizing, bold scriipt, italic scriipt, bullet points, paragraphs, etc. to accent important information.
If you think that a client is going to trudge through a non-stop narrative to glean important information, you are incorrect.
Make it easy for your client to review the information at a glance to understand the value of the work.
Be careful to not overdo it either. A too busy formatting can detract from your work as well.
